What Is FemtoLASIK?
FemtoLASIK is a LASIK procedure to correct or improve myopia (nearsightedness) and astigmatism using a laser on the cornea. The earlier LASIK method used a blade to create an opening on the corneal surface, while FemtoLASIK uses a femtosecond laser to create the corneal opening and an excimer laser to correct the refractive error. This makes the FemtoLASIK procedure more accurate and safer compared to earlier methods.
FemtoLASIK Procedure
First Stage: Creation of the corneal flap/opening using a femtosecond laser

Second Stage: The corneal flap/opening is lifted

Third Stage: The laser process using an excimer laser on the exposed corneal surface

Fourth Stage: The flap/opening is repositioned to its original state

Who Is an Ideal Candidate?
- Criteria for FemtoLASIK. FemtoLASIK is very well suited for patients with high myopia, ranging from -1.00D to -15.00D, and astigmatism up to -5.00D.
- Ideal Candidates for FemtoLASIK. Aged 18 years or older, not pregnant or breastfeeding, no history of eye disease.
- Eye Conditions for FemtoLASIK. Refractive error has not changed over the past 12 months. No corneal disease, significant retinal degeneration, severe dry eye, etc.
Advantages of FemtoLASIK
- Very high level of precision and lower risk of inflammation.
- Faster healing process.
- Fewer side effects.
- Greater patient comfort.
